Pauline P. Hanko
Pauline P. Hanko (nee Pelsky), 85, died Sunday at The Shores at Wesley Manor, Ocean City, N.J., where she was a resident for the past eight years.
Prior to moving to Ocean City, N.J., she was born, raised and lived most of her life in Kingston.
Mrs. Hanko was employed by Duplan Corp., Kingston, and Valley Crest Nursing Home, Plains Township, for many years. She retired in 1994.
She was a loyal member of St. Mary's Annunciation Church, Kingston, and the Sodality.
Surviving are a son, Mayor Mark Hanko and his wife, Karen, Galloway Township, N.J.; sister, Sabina Sarnak, Livingston, N.J.; granddaughters, Katherine Hanko and Nicole Hanko.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Hanko Sr.; son, Joseph R. Hanko II; brothers, Richard Pilski and Al Palackas; sisters, Jewell Keller and Anne Podmenik.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9 in St. Mary's Annunciation Church, Zerby Avenue, Kingston. Burial will be in St. Mary's Annunciation Church Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Shores at Wesley Manor Memory Unit, Attn: Nancy Rhodes, 2201 Bay Ave., Ocean City, NJ 08226.
