scathing attack of Bob Levy, as follows:

To: Mr. Bob
Levy
Candidate For
Mayor
Dear Mr.
Levy:
I noticed that your campaign
commercial features a photograph of my husband, the late Mayor James L. Usry,
alongside yourself.
I feel that the use of this
photo in your campaign is wrong for the following reasons:
Your use of this photo would
have the viewing audience believe that you were supportive of Mayor Usry and
this is simply not true.
While Mayor Usry gave you a
chance, embraced you as a trusted member of his cabinet, and supported you as
Chief of the Beach Patrol, the fact of the matter is that you turned your back
on my husband at a time when he needed you most. Not only did you fail to
support him in his re-election bid, you chose to work against my husband. And,
Mayor Usry was deeply troubled over your lack of loyalty.
Mayor Usry was a decent,
loving and kind man who cared for ALL citizens of Atlantic City. Although he's
not with us anymore, he deserves to be remembered with the dignity and respect
that he earned during his 80 years of life. As Mayor Usry's widow, I cannot and
not sit by while you, or anyone else, selfishly uses my husband in a shallow
attempt to obtain votes.
As such, I respectfully
request that you remove Mayor Usry's photo from your campaign commercial and
refrain from including this photo, or any photo of my husband in any of your
campaign materials.
