The loss of
Deputy Chief Glass is the latest in terrible news in Atlantic
City.
Deputy
Chief Glass performed his career with a high degree of professionalism and
honor. He was a Cop's Cop and was a superior officer that Atlantic City could
really be proud of.
HarryHurley.com has also confirmed that Glass' retirement is directly
related to the disorder that the police department has been placed in, as Art
Snellbaker has placed a subordinate in charge of the
Department.
Snellbaker
has left his position (some believe forever) to deal with a personal family
emergency. We have learned what the "emergency" that Snellbaker is dealing with
... However, in order to show compassion and decency (something he rarely shows
to others), we will keep secret the Snellbaker family situation ... and, simply
wish him well with dealing with it.
The new era
in Atlantic City couldn't be off to a more negative and worse
beginning.
From
unimaginable salary increase desires ... to, other heavy-handed tactics ... The
stability that Atlantic City has enjoyed for the past four years, is already
under serious threat.
We wish
Glass the very best in his retirement ... and, this is a huge loss to the City
of Atlantic City. Glass is one of the very few (if not the only) superior
officers to actually live in Atlantic City. He always had the best interests of
the city and the department in mind.
Having
someone the likes of John Mooney suddenly at the top of the department and
to simultaneously lose someone of the immense character of Deputy Chief
Glass ... this is a terrible trade for the citizens of Atlantic
City.
