Mooney becomes
the second Chief in the month of December to willfully defy a direct order
from their immediate superior.

The correct
and lawful thing for both Snellbaker and now Money to have done, would have been
to immediately reinstate Sgt Wayne Nelson to his original Police Athletic League
assignment . Then, if they felt that the direct order from their immediate
superior (Mayor Langford) ... Then their recourse would be to take it to the
P.E.R.C. process.
Defying a
direct order is one of the worst things that a Police Officer can ever
do!
